Who we are, and what these terms do

This website is operated by California Film Solutions of 2025 E Colorado Blvd, Pasadena, CA 91107. In these terms, we, us and our mean California Film Solutions, and you means the person using this website.

These terms set out the basis on which we make this website available, what you may and may not do with its content, and the limits of what the site itself promises. They are not a contract for services, and reading this page does not create a business relationship between us.

We do not ask you to agree to anything in order to read this website. Where we need your agreement to something, we ask for it separately and in plain terms, for example when you open a dealer account. Some of what appears below applies whether or not you agree to it, because it rests on rights we hold under copyright law and on conduct that is unlawful in any case.

Nothing on this site is an offer

Descriptions of coverage packages, films, finishes, turnaround times and studio locations are published for information. They are an invitation to enquire, not an offer capable of acceptance, and no contract is formed by submitting an enquiry through this site or by our acknowledging it.

We contract only by a written quotation or work order that identifies the vehicle, the coverage, the film and the price. Where anything on this website differs from that document, the quotation or work order governs.

We work with franchise and independent dealerships. We do not take retail bookings through this website, and we charge nothing for using it.

Accuracy of what you read here

We take care to keep this site accurate and current, but specifications, films, finishes, coverage areas, turnaround times and prices change. Photographs show previous work and are not a promise of a particular result on your vehicle, since paint condition, color and model vary.

The website is provided as it is. We do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, error free, or free of harmful components, and we may change, suspend or withdraw any part of it without notice.

Our content, and what you may do with it

The text, photographs, video, layout, design and code on this site are owned by us or licensed to us, and are protected by copyright. The name California Film Solutions and the CFS mark are ours.

You may:

• View, print and download pages for your own reference
• Share a link to any page
• Quote a short extract, with attribution and a link

You may not, without our written permission:

• Copy, republish or redistribute our photographs, video or written content
• Use our content or marks in your own advertising, listings or vehicle descriptions
• Present our work as your own, or as the work of another installer
• Systematically scrape, harvest, index or copy the site by automated means, other than by a search engine indexing it in the ordinary way
• Use the site or its content to build or train a commercial dataset or model

Dealerships we work with may use our photographs of their vehicles in listing and marketing that vehicle, with attribution to California Film Solutions. That permission does not extend to using our photographs for any other vehicle or for general advertising, and we may withdraw it in writing.

Third-party names and marks that appear on this site, including film manufacturers and vehicle marques, belong to their owners. We use them to describe products and work accurately. Their appearance does not imply that those companies endorse us.

Things you must not do

• Access or attempt to access any part of the site, server or database you are not authorized to reach
• Probe, scan or test the vulnerability of the site, or breach or circumvent any security measure
• Introduce malware, or anything designed to interfere with the site or its users
• Overload the site, including by automated requests at a rate a person could not generate
• Submit anything through our forms that is false, that impersonates another person, or that you have no right to send
• Use the site for any unlawful purpose, or in a way that infringes anyone else’s rights

Unauthorized access to a computer system is a criminal offense under California Penal Code section 502 and under federal law. We report attempts.

Anything you send us

If you send us an enquiry, a question, a photograph or a suggestion, you keep ownership of it. You give us permission to use it for the purpose you sent it, and to keep a record.

If you send us an idea or suggestion about our business, we may use it without owing you payment or confidentiality. Do not send us anything you consider confidential or commercially sensitive through this website.

Information you send us is handled under our privacy policy.

Your right to say what you think of us

Nothing in these terms restricts you from writing an honest review of our work, anywhere, at any time, whether or not it is favorable. We will never ask you to agree otherwise, and we will never make a warranty claim, a discount or any other benefit conditional on removing or changing a review.

If you think we got something wrong, we would rather you told us first, but that is a request and not a condition.

Links to other sites

This site links to social media profiles and may link to manufacturers, dealerships or other third parties. We do not control those sites, we are not responsible for their content or their handling of your information, and a link is not an endorsement.

You may link to any page on this site, provided you do so fairly, do not suggest an association or endorsement that does not exist, and do not frame our pages within your own site.

Copyright and trademark complaints

This site does not host content uploaded by members of the public. If you believe material published here infringes your copyright or trademark, email us at the address in Section 18 with:

• Your name, mailing address, telephone number and email address
• Identification of the work or mark you say has been infringed
• The address of the page you are complaining about, and identification of the material on it
• A statement that you believe in good faith that the use is not authorized by the owner, its agent, or the law
• A statement that the information in your notice is accurate, and that under penalty of perjury you are the owner or authorized to act on the owner’s behalf
• Your physical or electronic signature

We investigate every notice and remove infringing material promptly.

Accessibility

We want this site to be usable by everyone. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines version 2.1 at level AA, and we build with that in mind: readable type sizes, sufficient contrast, keyboard navigation, visible focus indicators, alternative text on images, and support for reduced-motion and high-contrast settings.

If any part of this site is difficult for you to use, email us and tell us. We will help you directly with whatever you were trying to do, and we will fix the underlying problem. We treat accessibility reports as a priority rather than a complaint.

Limits on our liability for the website

To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss or damage arising from your use of, or inability to use, this website, or from reliance on information published here.

This section is about the website only. It does not limit our liability for the work we carry out on a vehicle, for our limited warranty, for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation, or for anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits any right you have under California consumer protection law.

Blocking access

We may block or restrict access to this site, in whole or in part, where we reasonably believe it is being used in a way described in Section 05, or where we need to protect the site, our systems, or other users.

We may also take down or restrict this site at any time, for any reason. It is a website, not a service you are subscribed to, and blocking access to it does not affect any warranty coverage you hold.

Who this site is for

This site is intended for use in the United States by people aged 16 and over, and its commercial content is directed at dealerships. We make no representation that the site or our services are appropriate or available outside the United States. If you use it from elsewhere, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for complying with local law.

Communicating electronically

When you email us or use a form on this site, you are communicating with us electronically, and you agree that we may respond electronically. Notices, records and other communications we send by email satisfy any legal requirement that they be in writing.

Email is not secure and is not always delivered. Do not use it for anything urgent or sensitive, and if a message matters, ask us to confirm we received it.

Governing law, and where disputes are heard

These terms and any dispute arising from your use of this website are governed by the laws of the State of California, without regard to its conflict of laws rules. The state and federal courts located in Los Angeles County, California have jurisdiction.

Nothing in these terms requires you to arbitrate, and nothing waives your right to bring a claim on behalf of a class. If you are a consumer, this section does not deprive you of the protection of the laws of the state where you live, and it does not affect your right to bring a claim in small claims court.

Notice to California users

Under California Civil Code section 1789.3, users of this site who are California residents are entitled to the following notice.

• Charges. There is no charge for using this website.
• Complaints to us. Email us at the address above with your concern. We acknowledge within three business days and tell you how we will handle it.

Complaints to the State. The Complaint Assistance Unit of the Division of Consumer Services of the California Department of Consumer Affairs may be contacted in writing at 1625 North Market Blvd., Suite N 112, Sacramento, CA 95834, by email at dca@dca.ca.gov, or by telephone at (800) 952-5210, or (800) 326-2297 for TDD.

General

• Changes. We may update these terms. The version and effective date at the top of this page always show the current one, and your use of the site is governed by the version published when you use it.
• Other agreements. Where you have a written quotation, work order or dealer account agreement with us, that document governs the work. These terms do not vary it, and where the two conflict on anything to do with the work, that document prevails.
• Entire terms for the website. These terms, together with our privacy policy, are the whole of what governs your use of this website.
• Severability. If any part of these terms is held unenforceable, it is severed and the rest continues in effect.
• No waiver. If we do not enforce a term on one occasion, that is not a waiver of it on any other.
• Survival. Sections 04, 06, 07, 09, 11 and 15 continue to apply after you stop using the site.
• Assignment. We may transfer our rights under these terms to a buyer of our business. You may not transfer yours.
• Events outside our control. We are not responsible for failure or delay in making this site available where the cause is outside our reasonable control.
• Headings. Section headings are for convenience and do not affect meaning.
